This conceptual project focused on the subjective safety needs of urban cyclists. My research recognised that safety isn’t solely about having the right equipment, but also about how people use the gear to reflect their emotional and physical needs to motorists. It was intended to be a case study on the meaning of safety, focusing on helping cyclists be acknowledged as humans, not hazards.
